A history and geography schoolteacher was beheaded in a suburb of Paris because he used cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad during class. It was reported by BBC News on Friday 16 October.
The incident took place in the town of Conflans-Saint-Honorine in the north-west of the French capital at about 17:00. The police received reports of a suspicious person walking around the school. Arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers first found the victim, and then the suspect, who was 200 meters away.
When he tried to attack the police with a knife, he was shot. Now the crime scene is cordoned off, investigative actions are being carried out there. The police advised local residents to avoid this place for a while.
