Switzerland has introduced the world’s highest MROT

From November 1, the minimum wage in a Swiss canton will be equivalent to 25 dollars per hour. This is the highest rate in the world. The decision was taken by the voters of the region by a majority vote. This decision on the amount of the minimum wage is stipulated by the legislation of the country.

According to CNN, the new norm will affect 30 thousand people. Two-thirds of them are women. According to experts, the pandemic has shown that for living in Geneva, this minimum is necessary for people not to be below the poverty line.
