Serbia can provide the Czech Republic with 100 thousand doses of Pfizer vaccine / BioNTech

Serbia is ready to provide the with 100,000 doses of the Pfizer / BioNTech  vaccine.

According to CTK, this was stated by Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis after a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

“Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic gave us an incredible gift during our meeting. Serbia is ready to provide us with 100,000 doses of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine, which will help us accelerate the pace of vaccination. I am very grateful for this offer, “ he wrote on Twitter.

To date, 35.2% of adults in the have received at least the first dose of vaccination, and 12.7% have already completed vaccination. This is slightly less than the EU average.

The Serbian President arrived in the Czech Republic on an official visit and met with Babis at his residence in Villa Kamara. Economic cooperation and issues related to the Western Balkans were discussed during the meeting.

The day before, during a meeting between Vucic and Czech President Milos Zeman, the latter apologized for the bombing of Yugoslavia during his time as prime minister.
