September-2020 was the hottest in history

The previous record was recorded in September 2019, but now the temperature rose by another 0.05 degrees.

September 2020 was the warmest September on the planet in the history of meteorological observations. This is reported by the European Observatory of satellite observations Copernicus Climate Change Service on Wednesday, October 7.

Last month was 0.05 degrees warmer than September 2019, when recorded the previous record.

In particular, temperatures in the Arctic zone of Siberia were much higher than average, and the level of Arctic ice was the second in a series of years with a minimum for satellite measurements.
