On the eve of the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the end of the verification of the combat readiness of the troops and their return to their places of deployment.

The Russian Defense Ministry began to return troops to their permanent locations after the end of the exercises in the south.

“In accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, on April 23, the troops (forces) of the Southern Military District and the Airborne Troops involved in the events of the surprise check began to return to the points of permanent deployment,” the ministry said.

Now Russian military units and formations are marching to railway stations, airfields, loading onto landing ships, railway platforms, and military transport aircraft.

“On the coast of the Opuk training ground, marine units, equipment, and weapons of the Caspian Flotilla and the Black Sea Fleet were loaded into large landing ships,” the report says.

The formations of the Airborne troops involved in the interspecific exercise in Crimea also began to transfer to the points of permanent deployment.
