On January 27, the decision of the Constitutional Court in Poland came into force, effectively completely banning abortion. This has caused outrage among the Poles, who came out in mass protests all over the country.

The protests began in more than 30 cities, including the capital Warsaw, as well as Gdansk, Katowice, Lodz, Krakow, Poznan, and others.
The rallies take place in the central squares of the cities or under the headquarters of the conservative party, which actively promoted and supported the decision to ban abortions.
Protesters hold homemade placards with inscriptions such as “My body is my choice” and call for the reversal of the Constitutional Court’s decision.
The police said that some demonstrators behaved quite aggressively, spraying tear gas and throwing stones in the direction of law enforcers. One police officer was wounded. Several protesters in Warsaw were detained.
In Warsaw, on the evening of January 27, hundreds of protesters gathered under the home of CT and then marched to the party office of the ruling Law and Justice party. Subsequently, the protesters, whose number grew to several thousand, returned to the KT house. The police accompanied the demonstration but did not intervene.
Recall that last December, thousands of people took to the streets in Poland over abortion bans. They chanted anti-government slogans and carried banners with inscriptions in support of the right to abortion.
