The service revealed the daily number of users against the background of attempts to attract more advertisers to the platform, says The Wall Street Journal.
In October, the daily number of Reddit users increased 44 percent year on year and reached 52 million people, The Wall Street Journal reported citing the service. This is the first time the company has shared a daily audience, said Jen Wong, chief operating officer of Reddit.
The service audience is not that large compared to other social media networks, the magazine wrote. Twitter has 187 million daily users, Snap has 249 million and Facebook has 1.82 billion.
At the same time, the number of daily Reddit users is growing faster than in other social networks. Twitter in the third quarter of 2020 reported a 29% increase in daily audience by year, Snap — 18%, and Facebook — 12%.
Reddit was founded in 2005. The service revealed the daily number of users against the background of attempts to attract more advertisers to the platform, which most marketers consider experimental, according to The Wall Street Journal.
