In the international lottery EuroMillion on December 11, a record jackpot for European lotteries was drawn — 200 million euros. A resident of France won.
This was announced by the organizers of the lottery, writes Metro.
They noted that the winner has not yet applied for his money. He has 60 days to do this. The lucky one correctly guessed all 5 out of 50 digits — 6, 9, 13, 24, and 41, as well as two “lucky star numbers” — 3 and 12.
“This is a lot of money, you can change not only your life but many other lives, you can do a lot of good things,” said a senior winning advisor to the UK National Lottery.
EuroMillions is the largest international lottery game played in the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Austria. A standard ticket in most countries costs 2.5 euros.
Previously, the highest win in EuroMillions history was €190 million. This amount has already been won four times (in 2012, 2014, 2017, and 2019). The winners were twice the residents of the UK, as well as residents of Spain and Portugal.
The largest jackpot in the world in the history of lotteries was drawn in 2016. Then the California resident won $1.59 billion
