The parties to the conflict must fulfill their obligations and return to substantive negotiations, the American politician stressed.
In Washington, the head of the State Department, Michael Pompeo, on Friday, October 23, held separate talks on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh with the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Jeyhun Bayramov.
As a result, the Secretary of State said that both sides must fulfill their commitments to a ceasefire. He posted a corresponding message on Twitter.
“During separate meetings with Armenian Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Bayramov, we discussed the most important steps to end violence in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Both must fulfill their ceasefire commitments and return to substantive negotiations,” Pompeo wrote.
Let us recall that the parties to the Karabakh conflict continue to exchange accusations. Thus, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported about the launch of missiles from the territory of Armenia. Yerevan called this data disinformation.
