The Polish authorities have decided to introduce new restrictions in the country due to the spread of the coronavirus. This is stated on the website of the Polish government.
Until January 17, 2021, the country will extend the validity of the measures and introduce additional restrictions. According to the new rules, hotels will be banned from December 28 in Poland. The work of the ski slopes is also prohibited. Non-food stores will be closed, except grocery stores and pharmacies.
In addition, gyms, fitness clubs and water parks, restaurants, and cafes will stop operating in the country. It is also forbidden to hold weddings, communions, and parties.
According to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on his Twitter account, on the night of December 31 to January 1, 2021, from 19:00 to 6:00, movement throughout the country will be prohibited.
Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) advised residents of Europe in connection with the coronavirus pandemic to celebrate the New Year and Christmas on the streets. If the holidays are held indoors, you should not gather too many people and ventilate the rooms, which will reduce the risk of infection. However, WHO recalled that such celebrations, even in small groups, are dangerous.
