Belarusian athlete Kristina Timanovskaya, whom they tried to forcibly take out of the Olympics after criticizing the leadership of the national team, received a humanitarian visa from Poland.
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Marcin Przydach.
“Belarusian athlete Kristina Timanovskaya is already in direct contact with Polish diplomats in Tokyo. She received a humanitarian visa. Poland will do everything possible to help her continue her sports career,” Pshidach wrote on Twitter.
Recall that an athlete from Belarus Kristina Timanovskaya, who is at the Tokyo Olympics, said that she was forcibly taken to the airport after she complained about the national coaches and asked for international protection.
After that, the athlete arrived at the Polish Embassy in Tokyo. It was reported that she applied for political asylum in Poland.
