Pirates attacked the freighter MOZART in the Gulf of Guinea, flying the flag of Liberia, 15 crew members were taken prisoner, one was killed. This was reported by Dryad Global, a company specializing in maritime security.
According to the company, the incident occurred on Jan. 20 98 nautical miles (181 km) from the city of Sao Tome.
The nationality of the dead crew member was not specified. The number of attackers is also not known.
According to the portal, the STEVIA was en route from Lagos to Cape Town.
