It became known that more than a billion users of smartphones running on the Android operating system may be subjected to a hacker attack. They are under threat because of one of the most popular applications in the Google Play Store.
According to a study by the Japanese antivirus company Trend Micro, we are talking about the SHAREit application. It turned out that the application is vulnerable to Man-in-the-disk hacking.
It is noted that the developers have already received a warning, but have not yet fixed the problem. Therefore, experts advise Android users not to download SHAREit yet.
