More than 600 thousand people vaccinated against coronavirus in Britain

Among the vaccinated were doctors, nursing home workers, and citizens aged 80 and over.





In the UK, more than 600,000 people have already received the COVID-19  . The overwhelming majority of them live in England, according to the website of the British government.

It is indicated that more than 616 thousand people received the vaccine in the country from December 8 to 20. Of these, 512.5 thousand people in England, 56.7 thousand — in , 22.6 thousand — in Wales, and 16.1 thousand — in Northern Ireland.

Among the vaccinated were doctors, nursing home workers, and citizens aged 80 and over.

More than 500 sites are deployed throughout the UK. It will continue throughout the Christmas season.

Recall that on December 8, Great Britain was the first in the world to start mass vaccination against coronavirus. The British authorities are using a vaccine developed by the American company Pfizer in conjunction with the German BioNTech. Its effectiveness in the final clinical trials was 95%.
