The number of detected cases of coronavirus infection in Spain has exceeded 1.5 million, according to the Kingdom’s Ministry of Health, on November 17, reported the TV channel La Sexta.
In total, since the beginning of the pandemic in Spain, 1,510,023 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded, of which 13,159 cases have been detected in the last day. 435 people died from the consequences of infection in 24 hours, which is the maximum mortality rate during the autumn wave of the spread of coronavirus. The total death toll from the effects of coronavirus infection in Spain has reached 41,688.
The Catalan authorities have noted a decrease in the incidence rate. They are studying the possibility of introducing relaxation of the tough quarantine restrictions that have been in effect in the region for several weeks. The possibility of opening bars and restaurants for visitors is being considered, provided that the room occupancy is not more than 30%.
Recall that Spain ranks 6th in the world in the number of detected cases of coronavirus infection after the United States, India, Brazil, France, and Russia.
