Madrid was isolated for two weeks due to a surge of coronavirus disease

Due to the rapid growth of coronavirus cases, Madrid and nine suburban areas were isolated from the rest of the country.

Strict restrictions came into force on Friday, October 2, reports the Left Bank.

Now only those who have a valid reason can enter Madrid and some parts of its suburbs. The same applies to those who want to leave Madrid. Good reasons include, in particular, trips to work, to hospital, to study, shopping, and the like.

It is planned that the strengthening of anti-epidemic measures will last at least two weeks.

Recall that Madrid was much more severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic than other Spanish cities and became the center of the coronavirus outbreak in Western Europe.

It is impossible to stop the coronavirus COVID-19 in the European Union, as stated the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

Earlier we reported that according to the WHO, a mask can be effective only if a number of rules are followed and combined with regular hand treatment. However, due to the loose fit to the face, it only slightly reduces the probability of infection.
