Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin can be called a murderer.
This is reported by the Delfi portal.
“Unfortunately, yes,” Nauseda said when asked if he could have followed US President Joe Biden in calling Putin a murderer.
According to the Lithuanian president, Russia pointedly does not take into account the territorial integrity of neighboring countries, such as Ukraine.
“I see many signs that demonstrate a clear indifference, let’s call it so, in relation to the values of the civilized world, ignoring the right of nations to self – determination, ignoring the territorial integrity of their neighbors, which the Kremlin has been doing quite demonstratively lately,” Gitanas Nauseda said.
Another important aspect, he said, is the situation inside Russia, where the regime is “most brutally” targeting opposition leaders such as Alexei Navalny.
“And to continue to say, with a hunched head, that, you know, we are looking for how to get involved in relations with Russia, which I sometimes hear from my colleagues in the European Union – it is necessary both emotionally and geographically to be very far from what is called Russia, to say this,” Nauseda said.
Recall that recently between the presidents of the United States and Russia there was a verbal altercation in absentia.
In a recent interview, Joe Biden said that Russia interfered in the US presidential election and must pay for its actions. He also answered in the affirmative to the question of whether he considers Vladimir Putin a murderer.
Putin wished Biden good health in response to his words and recalled a children’s saying.
