Lithuania nursing home residents infected with COVID-19 after vaccination

In Lithuania, an outbreak of  infection was recorded in the nursing home after all patients were fully vaccinated. It is reported by the nursing home Lauksargio in the Taurage district.

A total of 14 of the 15 infected COVID-19 residents of the boarding nursing home were vaccinated according to the full schedule. According to the guidelines, the National Center for Public Health (NVSC) is beginning an additional review of the vaccination process at this facility.

Earlier in Greece, an 85-year-old man died a few minutes after being vaccinated against the coronavirus. Before the vaccination, the doctors collected the patient’s medical history, and there were no contraindications to the vaccine. After the vaccination, the elderly man was sitting in the waiting room, then suddenly lost consciousness and fell. Doctors promptly gave him first aid and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, after which the patient regained consciousness for about five minutes and again lost consciousness.
