Latvian government abolished the requirement to wear masks on the street

The Latvian government on Tuesday abolished the requirement to use on the streets, where there is heavy traffic.

This is reported by Delfi.

It is a question of places of street vending, terraces of cafes and restaurants, events, and similar places.

Since the two-week rate of incidence fell below 200 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the Latvian Ministry of Health considers it acceptable to review the restrictions.

Now masks must only be used indoors.

In addition, the amendments allow obtaining a certificate in state and municipal customer service centers.

And also in the future, it will be possible to mark COVID-19 vaccinations given outside in the e-health system. At first, it will be possible to mark vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency, and later vaccines approved by the World Health Organization will be added.
