Johnson intends to be vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine on March 19

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced his intention to get vaccinated with a new type of coronavirus vaccine from the Anglo-Swedish company AstraZeneca.

According to the prime minister, he will be given the drug on Friday, March 19.

During the press conference, he pointed out the public importance of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign.

“And I’ll get my shot tomorrow. The vaccination center where I will do this uses a drug from AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford,” Johnson said.

Earlier it became known that Johnson intends to raise the issue of accelerating the spread of coronavirus vaccines at the G-7 summit.

A number of European countries have suspended vaccination with AstraZeneca after receiving information about the formation of blood clots in patients. However, the European Medicines Regulator has confirmed the safety of AstraZeneca.
