Izmir earthquake kills 37 people - Erdogan

This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who arrived in the Seferhisar region of Izmir today.

“At the moment, we have 37 dead and 885 wounded. The number of our citizens rescued from the rubble is 103,” the Turkish President said.

Erdogan added that 667 of the injured were discharged from the hospital.

“The treatment of 218 citizens continues. 8 people are in intensive care. The condition of three people is grave,” the head of state said.
