Italy to start easing restrictions due to COVID-19

Italy is beginning the gradual lifting of restrictions imposed earlier in connection with the  pandemic. This became possible against the background of a decrease in the number of cases, the government noted. On the eve of the relevant decree was signed by the President of the country Sergio Mattarella, reports the TV channel RaiNews24.

From Wednesday, May 19, the curfew in most of the “yellow” regions of the country will begin at 23: 00 and last until 05: 00. The only” orange “ region in Italy remained a small autonomous region of the Aosta Valley, bordering France and Switzerland.

The decree signed by the Italian president provides for the introduction of the so-called “green” certificate of vaccination against COVID-19. The document will be issued immediately after receiving the first dose of the vaccine and it will be valid starting from the 15th day after vaccination for nine months. Citizens who have received such a certificate will be able to move freely throughout Italy, regardless of what color zone they live in. According to the latest data, the total number of cases of  in the country has exceeded four million people.
