It became difficult for the US to find objects for sanctions in Russia

There are not many opportunities left with regard to Russia to impose sanctions, Trump complains.

National Security Adviser to the President of the United States Robert O’Brien on Friday, October 16, said that it is becoming increasingly difficult for Washington to find targets for sanctions in Russia.

“There are not many opportunities left for Russia to impose sanctions … There is little we can do about Russia on the sanctions front. This becomes more difficult due to the constricting nature of the sanctions already in place,” O’Brien said.

Note that among the latest sanctions that the United States imposed against Russia were restrictive measures for interference in elections and activities in the cybersphere.

At the moment, there are a number of proposals in Congress for additional anti-Russian sanctions.

In the Kremlin, such actions by the United States are called “sanctions dependence.”
