Israeli authorities introduce two-week quarantine

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, together with the country’s Ministry of Health, announced the introduction of a two-week quarantine. It is reported by The Times of Israel.

It clarifies that the Israeli government approved the initiative amid an increase in the number of new cases of  infection.

This measure will come into force on Thursday, January 7th.

Netanyahu also warned on Twitter that serious consequences await the world due to the worsening epidemiological situation.

“We are in the midst of a global pandemic, which is spreading at high speed due to the British mutation (coronavirus),” he stressed.
