More than 2000 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in one day by the State Institute of Public Health of the Netherlands, reported The Brussels Times on September 21.
According to the institute, this increase has been registered for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. In the last 24 hours, 26 infected people need to be hospitalized.
During the week in the Netherlands, about 12 630 people are infected with the coronavirus.
A total of more than 95 000 Dutch citizens have been diagnosed with the virus since the pandemic began.
More than 12 000 people have been hospitalized in the country and 6200 patients have died as a result of the coronavirus.
