The Syrian Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources said that as a result of the fire, one of the oil tanks was damaged. The fire has already been extinguished, but there is no detailed information about the damage yet.
According to the Syrian government news agency SANA, the incident occurred as a result of an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle from Lebanese airspace.
At the same time, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that the attack could have been carried out by a UAV or rocket.
Recall that in the Arabian Sea off the coast of the Emirate of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, unknown persons carried out a rocket attack on an Israeli merchant ship.
