In the city of Vetlanda in southern Sweden, eight people were hospitalized in a likely terrorist attack.

The police were informed of the attack in the city center at about 3 pm local time. According to eyewitnesses, several people were attacked with cold weapons.
It turned out that eight people were injured. Several of the wounded are in serious condition.
The police shot the attacker, a young man between the ages of 20 and 30. He is alive and in the hospital.
The police do not name the motives for the attack.
At first, the incident was investigated as attempted murder, but later the classification of the crime was changed to “probable terrorism.”
