A group of activists brought a naked figure of Russian President Vladimir Putin on a golden toilet to the building of the Russian Embassy in Prague.
This is reported by iDNES.
Activists of the Kaputin group organized a rally against the imprisonment of Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny, Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, and human rights violations in Russia.
Around noon, a car with several people drove up to the building of the Russian embassy, who began to put gold toilets on the fence of the embassy and hang gold brushes.
They also put a figure of Putin on a gilded toilet bowl with the inscription “Naked Killer”.
On the other side of the street in front of the embassy stood several people with posters “Hands off Ukraine” or “Freedom to Navalny”.
The event was attended by about thirty people. During the installation of the toilets, several police officers arrived at the site. They told the activists that they were causing damage to Russian property. Later, the activists dismantled the monument to Putin and lowered it into the park in a wheelchair.
“Perhaps nothing more symbolizes the true nature of today’s Russian rulers than the golden toilet bowls and brushes in the palace of the head of state in a country where 13% of the population still do not even have their own toilet,” the group said in a statement.
