In Poland, a political crisis is brewing because of the summit of Russian President Vladimir Putin and United States President Joe Biden, writes Polish journalist Jan Engelgaard for the magazine Mysl Polska.
The author claims that the meeting between Putin and Biden was a “huge trauma” for Poland, where both the current government and the opposition are not set on resuming a normal dialogue with Russia.
“It turns out only to pursue a policy of hysteria, instigation, calls for confrontation and preaching, even if it contradicts the reality around us and the real interests of Poland,” Engelhard writes.
Polish political elites are convinced that Russia can attack Poland, the author claims.
Earlier, Poland asked the European Commission to punish Germany in connection with the support of the German side of the “Nord Stream 2”.
Before that, Poland adopted a resolution against the Russian gas pipeline “Nord Stream 2”, in which the project is called Russian ”expansionism”.
