China’s foreign economic activity shows positive results against the background of a successful recovery of economic activity in the country.
The Chinese Customs Service reported that in the first 4 months of this year, the volume of export deliveries increased by 44% compared to the corresponding period in 2020 to $973.7 billion.
The volume of imports showed an increase of 31.9% to $815.8 billion. China’s foreign trade turnover reached $1.8 trillion. The country’s foreign trade surplus amounted to $157.9 billion.
China’s customs service also reported an increase in trade with the United States to $221.7 billion, or 61.8%. At the same time, the volume of deliveries of Chinese products to the United States increased by 60.8% in 4 months. And shipments from the United States to China increased by 64.7%. The trade turnover between China and Russia increased in January-April by 19.8% compared to a year ago to $40.2 billion. At the same time,
China’s supplies to Russia showed an increase of 38.7%. And Russian supplies to China increased by 7.7% year on year.
