In the center of the French city of Nantes, a man armed with a screwdriver attacked passers-by. As a result of the incident, four people were injured. This was announced on Friday, June 4, according to the publication Ouest-France.
It is noted that the armed attacker first hit the man in the chest with a screwdriver. After that, she began attacking other passers-by, aiming at their throats.
The security guard of one of the shops was able to stop the criminal with the help of a tear gas canister. Together with passers-by, he held the attacker on the ground until the police arrived.
The identity of the detainee has not yet been disclosed. It is only known that he was born in 1994. Rescuers arrived at the scene and provided assistance to the victims. One of them was hospitalized.
Recall that last week a resident of France with a knife attacked a police officer. During the arrest, he offered armed resistance, wounding two gendarmes. It was later reported that he died after a shootout.
