In Cambodia to be sentenced to 20 years in prison for infection with COVID-19

For intentional infection with a  infection in Cambodia, you can now go to jail for two decades. violators will spend three years in prison.

In Cambodia, now for intentional COVID infection, you can get up to 20 years in prison and three years in prison for violating rules. Such a bill was unanimously adopted by parliament members, writes The Guardian.

Health Minister Mam Bunheng called the bill “a strong legal framework for the government to protect the life and health of the population.”

Cambodia has recorded 932 cases of  infection since the start of the pandemic. Not a single inhabitant of the country died of the infection.

Earlier, the punishment for the spread of  was introduced in China. Criminal liability will extend to COVID patients who refuse to comply with quarantine.
