In Britain, a new daily maximum of deaths from coronavirus: more than 1,600

Britain has recorded a new maximum of 1,610 coronavirus deaths per day.

This was reported by the BBC.

The previous highest was 1,564 deaths on January 13. Coronavirus death statistics include those who died within 28 days of being confirmed with Covid-19.

The total national death toll from the epidemic exceeded 90,000. The United Kingdom is ahead of all other European countries in this figure. In second place in the number of deaths from the coronavirus is Italy.

In the past 24 hours in Britain 33, 355 new infections were found.

The day before Health Secretary Matt Hancock reported that the number of hospitalized with Covid-19 reached a new high during the epidemic. According to him, every 30 seconds a new patient is brought to hospitals.

At the same time, the number of people who have already received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine exceeded 4.2 million.

On Jan. 18, 10 more major vaccination centers opened in England, and the next two priority groups began receiving invitations to be vaccinated.

As previously reported, the number of so-called “excess” deaths in Britain in 2020 was the highest since World War II.
