In Britain, a man was detained, because of whom a vaccine factory was evacuated

In Britain, a man believed to be the sender of a suspicious package to a  vaccine plant was detained, leading to the suspension of work and evacuation.

This was reported by the BBC with reference to a police statement.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, January 27th at Wockhardt’s final production stage for the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine in North Wales.

After checking, it turned out that there was nothing dangerous in the package.

The company subsequently reported that the incident did not affect its production schedule.

Kent Police said the package was mailed by Anthony Collins, 53, from Chetham Hill, “to give the impression that it might explode or catch on fire.”

The man was taken into custody and is due to appear in court on February 26.
