In the Chinese city of Qingdao, three asymptomatic cases of coronavirus infection were found, because of which they decided to check all residents of the city of 10 million. On Thursday, October 15, the People’s Daily reported.

It is noted that in four days, almost 10 million tests for the coronavirus COVID-19 were made in the city and the chairman of the local health commission, Sui Zhenhua, was removed. An investigation is underway against him.

“As of 08:00, Qingdao has already taken 9,947,304 samples and received results for 7,646,353 of them, apart from confirmed cases of infection, which were previously reported, there are no new positive results,” the newspaper said on the social network Weibo.

After a long weekend on the occasion of the Education Day of the People’s Republic of China and the Mid-Autumn Festival, three asymptomatic cases of coronavirus infection were found in Qingdao. Therefore, the authorities decided to test the entire population of the city, which is home to about 10 million people.

We will remind, in May in the Chinese city of Wuhan, the authorities ordered testing of all 11 million residents. As a result, the coronavirus was detected in 300 asymptomatic carriers.

And in July, six million residents of the city of Dalian were tested for COVID-19 in four days.
