On March 19, France will resume vaccination of the population with the drug against the coronavirus AstraZeneca, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced.
“Starting tomorrow morning, the Supreme Health Authority … will update its recommendations for the AstraZeneca vaccine so that we can resume the vaccination campaign immediately afterward,” Castex said.
He clarified that he himself will be vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine in the near future.
Earlier, the European Medicines Regulator (EMA) confirmed the safety of the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine.
A number of European countries have suspended vaccination with AstraZeneca following information on blood clots in patients.
