More than 4.4 thousand people are treated for COVID-19 in Polish hospitals. The country is renewing the mask regime in public places.
The day before, 4739 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Poland — a record since the beginning of the epidemic. This was reported by Reuters on Friday, October 9.
Record figures in the country are recorded for the fourth consecutive day, due to which on Saturday resumed some quarantine restrictions.
Polish Ministry of Health reported that Friday, patients with COVID-19 occupied 4407 hospital beds across the country and used 320 ventilators against 4138 and 296 respectively the day before.
Although the number of new cases has increased by 459 since Thursday, the number of tests conducted has more than halved to 21,500.
Starting tomorrow, the mandatory wearing of face masks in public places will be introduced throughout the country, TVN24 informs. Exceptions are established only for persons who are not allowed to wear masks due to health reasons.
Recall that the Czech Republic breaks records for COVID-19, despite the quarantine. As of the morning of October 9, 5394 cases of COVID-19 were detected, the total number of infected persons exceeded 100 thousand.
