Explosions in Kabul kill 200 Afghans

The day before the incident was described by the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan as one of the deadliest terrorist attacks during the 20-year war in the country.

The victims of the terrorist attacks in Kabul were almost 200 Afghan citizens. It was reported on Friday, August 27, by The Wall Street Journal newspaper referring to the Ministry of Health of the republic.

It is noted that only the hospital in the center of the city received the bodies of 145 dead Afghans. The day before the incident was named by the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan as one of the deadliest attacks during the 20-year war in the country.

Earlier it was reported about 170 were killed and about 200 were wounded as a result of the explosions, most of whom were Afghans. It is also known about 13 killed American servicemen.

Meanwhile, British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab informed that two Britons and the child of one of them were among the victims of the terrorist attack near the airport. Two others were injured.

Despite this, the minister assured, the kingdom will continue to evacuate from Afghanistan.

As reported, the bombings in Kabul took place on August 26. The first occurred near the airport, then near the Baron Hotel, where military personnel and foreign journalists were staying. The terrorist group ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.
