European Commission approves Moderna vaccine in the EU

The European Commission has approved the Moderna coronavirus vaccine in the European Union. This was stated by the head of the EC Ursula von der Leyen.

“We have approved the Moderna vaccine, the second vaccine in Europe,” the statement said.

It is noted that in the near future, deliveries of 80 million doses will begin.

Earlier, the European Union approved a  vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 86 million cases have been registered in the world, 61 million have recovered, more than 1.8 million people have died.
