Denmark removes Johnson & Johnson vaccine from the vaccination program

The Danish Health Authority has decided to abandon vaccination against  with Johnson & Johnson. The reason is the formation of blood clots in patients after the injection, writes Reuters.

According to the Minister of Health Magnus Heunike, the decision was made in connection with cases of the formation of “unusual blood clots” after vaccinations with this drug.

The exclusion of the J&J vaccine, which accounts for about a third of ’s contracted COVID vaccine shipments, could significantly delay the country’s vaccination schedule.

The introduction of J&J has also been delayed in some other European countries due to similar problems with blood clotting.
