Now, due to the decision of the medical regulator, the vaccination schedule may be significantly delayed in the country.
According to the Minister of Health Magnus Heunike, the decision was made in connection with cases of the formation of “unusual blood clots” after vaccinations with this drug.
The exclusion of the J&J vaccine, which accounts for about a third of Denmark’s contracted COVID vaccine shipments, could significantly delay the country’s vaccination schedule.
The introduction of J&J has also been delayed in some other European countries due to similar problems with blood clotting.
Recall that the Czech Republic intends to vaccinate everyone. The authorities purchased the largest number of vaccines from Pfizer.
