The Danish government has decided to strengthen quarantine in 31 of the 98 municipalities in the country.
This is reported by The Local with reference to the Minister of Health of Denmark Magnus Hjunike.
The new restrictions will take effect on December 11 from 4 pm and will last until January 3. The new restrictions include:
— closure of all restaurants and cafes;
— gyms and swimming pools (except for training places for professional athletes);
— museums, cinemas, libraries, etc.
Students from grade 5 and above will switch to distance learning, like all higher education. The exams are not canceled, but they will take place primarily online.
Whenever possible, civil servants will be transferred to remote work. Businesses are also asked to transfer employees to remote work.
