At least 34 thousand people took part in protests against the adoption of the law “on global security” this Saturday in France. This was reported by BFMTV, citing data from the Interior Ministry.
According to the channel, despite the cold weather and snowstorms, about 6.5 thousand participants joined the protest march from Place Felix Eboue to the Bastille Square in Paris. There were no clashes between demonstrators and police.
As stressed in the ministry, in all cities where rallies were held, the situation remained calm, except for Nantes, where there were clashes between the protesters and the police. As a result of clashes in this city, 12 police officers were injured. A total of 75 people were detained in France.
