During the period from January to June this year in China, 174 mln cell phones were sold. In comparison with the first six months of the previous year, their number increased by 13.7%. This was indicated by the official statistics released by the relevant ministry.
Mobile devices that support 5G networks were sold 128 million units. The volume of their sales for twelve months in the period increased by 2 times.
According to Xinhua, in total sales such models of phones accounted for 73.4%. It is reported that last month shipments of cell phones in China were recorded in the amount of 25.66 million units.
Compared to the same month last year, this figure dropped by 10.4%. At the same time, the number of phones sold last month compared to the previous month increased by 11.7%.
Chinese brands accounted for 95.8% of total shipments in June this year.
