Children who have recovered from COVID-19 have problems

Half of the children who have had COVID-19 have had at least one symptom of the disease for four months. Scientists reported such problems as a result of research.

So, among the most common consequences of the coronavirus, experts have found insomnia, chest tightness, fatigue, pain in muscles and joints, as well as difficulty concentrating.

An international team of scientists from Italy, the United Kingdom, and Russia led by Piero Valentini of the Institute for Global Health Research (Rome) investigated the presence and duration of COVID-19 symptoms in children. As a result, it turned out that after four months from the onset of the infection, 42 percent of children recovered completely, just over a third complained of one or two signs of the disease, and about a quarter had more than three symptoms.

As the authors of the study emphasize, during the coronavirus pandemic, children were largely ignored, since in this group the disease is milder than in adults.
