In the United Arab Emirates, the registration plate for the car went under the hammer for 38 million dirhams (more than $10 million).





It is known that the number consists of two letters and one digit. The name of the buyer who became the owner of the number AA9 is not reported. Also, at the charity auction, car numbers U31, T38, and E51 were raffled off. The collected funds will go to the fund for distributing food to the poor.

Among the participants of the auction was the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of , Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The amount earned was a new world record.

The previous record was set in 2016 when the number consisting of two characters-D5-was sold for almost $9 million.

Earlier it became known that the first female car mechanic appeared in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It was Huda al-Matroushi from the city of Sharjah.
