Kevin Federline backed Britney Spears on her intention to get rid of custody

Britney Spears' ex-husband has backed Britney Spears on her intention to get rid of custody

Britney Spears’ ex-husband, dancer Kevin Federline, 43, has backed the singer in her intention to free herself from the custody of her father Jamie Spears. Recall that last week, the 39-year-old singer testified in court for the first time in her custody case. We learned from Britney’s emotional speech that she doesn’t have access to her own finances, that she was held against her will in a hospital for the mentally ill, and had an IUD inserted into her to prevent the singer from getting pregnant.

Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told Entertainment Tonight that the dancer wants Britney to be “happy and healthy.” “Kevin supports her in what’s best for her,” Kaplan said. — No matter how much custody may have benefited — if it’s having a detrimental effect on Britney’s state of mind, it should be abandoned. Kevin supports her in wanting better living conditions. Better conditions are important for their sons as well.”

Recall that Spears and Federline were married from 2004 to 2007. The couple has two children: 15-year-old Sean and 14-year-old Jayden. Britney took the breakup with Kevin hard, which caused her to have a nervous breakdown: the singer shaved her head and was sent to compulsory treatment in the rehab, after which she was declared temporarily incapacitated. At the same time, Jamie was appointed Britney’s guardian.

After the divorce, Federline received sole custody of the children: the boys live with their father, his wife Victoria, and younger sisters Jordan and Peyton. Federline also has two older children from his first marriage to singer Char Jackson: daughter Corey Madison and son Caleb Michael.

“Kevin wants Britney to be a happy person because that would make her a happy mother. The main conclusion we drew from her statement is that Spears is under tremendous pressure. People who are under pressure sometimes don’t make the decisions they would make if they were completely left to their own free will,” Kaplan added. — If Britney can behave in a way that doesn’t endanger herself or her children, Kevin will be very happy to see her released from custody. When Jamie got custody of his daughter, Sean and Jayden were very young. Now we’re talking about two healthy, intelligent young boys who can pretty much judge things for themselves. And most importantly, they’re able to express their opinions to Kevin and Britney. So it’s an extra layer of protection that wasn’t there when Spears was in foster care.”

“Kevin has been consistently supportive of Britney. He hopes she can enjoy life in a safe and healthy way, and he looks forward to taking advantage of raising two teenage children together,” Kaplan concluded. — I think Kevin and Britney would be able to successfully interact with each other and deal with the issues of raising boys together. Kevin is hopeful that if custody is revoked, things will only get better.”

After the court appearance, Britney and her boyfriend Sam Asgari flew to Hawaii for a vacation. While everyone is waiting for the custody judge’s decision, fans and peers are openly supporting Spears. Stars like Rose McGowan, Mendy Moore, Mariah Carey, and Justin Timberlake have already joined the #FreeBritney movement.
