The Queen of the United Kingdom and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh were vaccinated against coronavirus.
This was announced by Buckingham Palace, reports Sky News.
It is noted that such reports concerning the health of members of the royal family are quite rare.
Reportedly, the Queen decided that the information should be made public to prevent inaccuracies and subsequent speculation.
The monarch joined the more than one million people who have already been vaccinated.
The injections were administered by the royal house doctor at Windsor Castle.
The queen and Prince Philip spent a quiet Christmas at their Berkshire residence, eschewing the traditional royal family gatherings at Sandringham.
