Brazil postpones production of AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine

Brazil will receive the first doses of the  vaccine from the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca a month later than the announced date.

It is reported by the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo.

The first batch of raw materials for production in the South American state of the drug should enter the country on January 23, so the first doses of the vaccine will be transferred to the Brazilian Ministry of Health no earlier than the beginning of March.

Previously, the authorities promised to transfer vaccines by mid-February.

Recall that the Brazilian Ministry of Health has agreed on a joint study and localization in the country of the production of a vaccine against COVID-19 of the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca.

Earlier it was reported that the authorities of the US state of California decided to temporarily stop using the Moderna  vaccine after an outbreak of allergic reactions in those who were injected with the drug.

It was also reported that more than 80 reports of side effects after vaccination against  have already been recorded in Ireland.
