An outbreak of bird flu has been reported in Chiba Prefecture in the east of the country. Kyodo agency reported this on Thursday.
A hotbed of infection was identified at a poultry farm in the city of Isumi. Thus, Chiba became the 13th prefecture of Japan, in which local authorities discovered an outbreak of bird flu this year. Moreover, the infection was first detected this season in an area bordering the capital prefecture.
An outbreak of bird flu was recorded in Japan in early November. In this regard, more than 2.7 million chickens have already been slaughtered throughout the country.
