US President Joe Biden said that the chaos that arose during the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan was inevitable. He made such a statement in an interview with ABC News.
“The idea that somehow there is a way to leave without chaos following – I do not know how this happens,” the head of the White House said.
According to him, when making a decision on the withdrawal of troops, the probability of such a development of events was taken into account.
Earlier, Biden said that the United States has achieved its goals in Afghanistan.
Later, the American leader ordered to allocate half a billion dollars to help refugees from Afghanistan.
On August 15, the Taliban movement announced the establishment of control over the entire territory of Afghanistan. Its representatives took control of state television in Kabul and in their address called on citizens to calm down.
The leadership of the movement has already stated that they will not establish democracy, but will build a political system based on sharia law.
